Assistant Fashion Designer

Job Description

We’re looking for an Assistant Fashion Designer to join our design team and be part of the process from research and ideas to samples and final products.

If you’re someone who notices the little things, loves playing with colour, fabric and form, and has a strong understanding of fashion and garment development, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be working on:

• Assisting the senior designer with new collections and design concepts

• Fashion, colour, fabric and trend research

• Creating mood boards, design references and sketches

• Working on fabric, trims, prints, embellishments and colour selections

• Coordinating with sampling, production and merchandising teams

• Following up on samples and communicating design corrections

• Maintaining design files, tech packs and collection documentation

• Assisting with fittings, sample reviews and product development

• Ensuring every piece stays true to the brand’s aesthetic, quality and commercial requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Degree from a reputed institute in Fashion Design or a related field

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in fashion/apparel design

• Strong understanding of fabrics, garment construction and current fashion trends

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, CorelDRAW or relevant design software

• A strong eye for colour, proportion and aesthetics

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced design environment

Location: Gurugram / Delhi NCR

Experience: 1–3 years
