faculty position
(Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor) who can bring together
design education, professional practice, research, material exploration, technology, and industry engagement
to create an enriching learning environment for students.
The opportunity is open for those who have expertise in one or more of the following areas: Interior Design & Spatial Design Furniture & Product Design Material & Craft Studies Design Detailing & Construction User-Centered & Sustainable Design Design Research & Innovation Product Development & Prototyping Digital Design & Visualization Design Technology & Fabrication Contemporary Design Practices
Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in
Interior Design, Product Design,
and related subjects. Develop course content, lesson plans, and practical studio exercises aligned with industry standards. Mentor students in academic projects, portfolio development, competitions, and internships. Engage in curriculum development, research, innovation, and industry collaborations. Participate in departmental activities, accreditation processes, and institutional initiatives.
Essential Qualifications Master's degree in Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture and Allied Design disciplines (or extensive professional experience for a practice-based role). NET/ Ph.D. will be preferred as per UGC/AICTE/University norms (where applicable). Strong academic and/ or professional experience in their respective domain.
Key Skills & Competencies: Demonstrate a passion for teaching, mentoring and design education Effective communication and mentorship abilities. Are actively engaged in research, publications, professional practice or design projects Can develop and deliver contemporary, industry-relevant courses Encourage experimentation, critical thinking and problem-solving among students Are interested in interdisciplinary collaborations and emerging design practices
