Job Summary

\n

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Embedded Hardware Design Engineer to design and develop next-generation automotive electronic products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in digital and mixed-signal hardware design, schematic capture, board bring-up, high-speed interfaces, and automotive communication protocols, along with experience collaborating across multi-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Analyze customer requirements and prepare detailed hardware requirement specifications.
  • \n
  • Design, develop, and validate automotive embedded hardware systems.
  • \n
  • Perform schematic capture, design reviews, and provide layout guidance to PCB design teams.
  • \n
  • Execute board bring-up activities, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis.
  • \n
  • Prepare technical documents including test plans, test reports, engineering change requests (ECRs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and project status presentations.
  • \n
  • Generate and maintain EBOMs, manage component lifecycles, support obsolescence management, and drive cost optimization initiatives.
  • \n
  • Work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and system engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within quality targets.
  • \n
  • Support prototype builds, design verification, and production releases.
  • \n

Mandatory Technical Skills

\n
    \n
  • Strong experience in Automotive Embedded Hardware Design.
  • \n
  • Hands-on expertise in Analog, Digital, and Mixed Signal Circuit Design.
  • \n
  • Experience with Microcontrollers, Microprocessors, and FPGA-based Designs.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of Schematic Capture and PCB Layout Review using Altium Designer 22+.
  • \n
  • Experience in Analog Circuit Simulation using LT Spice, Saber, or equivalent tools.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of automotive communication interfaces and protocols:
  • \n
  • I2C, SPI, USB
  • \n
  • CAN-FD, LIN
  • \n
  • Automotive Ethernet (100/1000T1)
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of High-Speed Interfaces:
  • \n
  • DDR3 / DDR4 / DDR5
  • \n
  • MIPI
  • \n
  • FPD Link
  • \n
  • PCI / PCIe
  • \n
  • Ethernet 100/1000T
  • \n
  • Hands-on experience with board testing, debugging, and validation.
  • \n
  • Experience using lab equipment including:
  • \n
  • Digital Storage Oscilloscopes (DSO)
  • \n
  • Logic Analyzers
  • \n
  • Precision DMMs
  • \n
  • Basic soldering and rework skills on SMD components.
  • \n

Preferred Skills

  • SI/PI Simulation using HyperLynx or SIWave.
  • \n
  • Experience in EMI/EMC debugging and compliance testing.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of DFMEA methodologies.
  • \n
  • Exposure to Medini tool for Functional Safety Analysis.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and product lifecycle management processes.
