Job Description

We are looking for Chief Financial officer for renowned real estate development firm with a great legacy based out of Delhi/NCR

\n
• Candidate should be Chartered accountant/CPA
\n
• Should have more than 20 years of experience in the field of accounts and taxation, fund raising with at least 5 years in HOD or financial controllership role
\n
• Should have strong prior experience with Real Estate industry
\n

Financial Strategy & Planning

\n
• Develop and drive short- and long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
\n
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling for land acquisitions, project development, and investment opportunities.
\n
• Evaluate project feasibility, profitability, ROI, and capital allocation.
\n

Budgeting, Cost Control & Performance Management

\n
• Oversee project-wise budgeting, costing, revenue and cash flow planning.
\n
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and prepare variance analysis and management reports.
\n
• Drive cost optimisation, efficient fund utilisation, and improved project profitability.
\n

Accounting, Reporting & Controls

\n
• Oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, revenue recognition, cash transactions, book closure, and consolidation.
\n
• Ensure timely preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, MIS, and other management reports.
\n
• Establish robust financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
\n
• Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, IFRS, statutory and regulatory requirements, and manage internal and external audits.
\n

Cash Flow, Working Capital & Treasury

\n
• Manage liquidity, working capital, cash flow projections, collections, disbursements, and banking relationships.
\n
• Ensure optimum utilisation of funds and availability of capital for ongoing operations and new projects.
\n
• Work closely with business and functional teams to strengthen collections and overall cash flow.
\n

Fund Raising & Capital Management

\n
• Lead financial planning and presentations for investors, private equity, banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions.
\n
• Support fundraising and project financing for acquisitions and developments.
\n
• Structure and manage debt and equity financing, construction loans, refinancing, and long-term debt.
\n
• Ensure transparent financial reporting and maintain investor confidence.
\n

Risk, Taxation & Compliance

\n
• Assess and mitigate financial risks related to market fluctuations, interest rates, project costs, and investments.
\n
• Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including tax planning, GST, assessments, audits, reconciliations, and statutory filings.
\n
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including RERA, SEBI (where applicable), and corporate tax requirements.
\n

Systems, Process Improvement & Team Leadership

\n
• Lead the implementation and effective utilisation of Farvision ERP and other financial technology solutions.
\n
• Drive process improvements, automation, financial analytics, and stronger governance.
\n
• Lead, develop, and upskill the Finance, Accounts, and Taxation teams.
\n

Stakeholder Management

\n
• Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams on financial decision-making and business performance.
\n
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, financial institutions, and investors.
