Data Centre Engineering Design Expert

Data Centre Engineering Design Expert is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the engineering strategy, design excellence, business growth, and successful delivery of data centre projects. The role combines deep technical expertise with commercial acumen to develop resilient, scalable, energy-efficient, and customer-centric data centre solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering Electrical / Mechanical / E&C; Master’s degree/MBA preferred.
• 20+ years of experience in data centre engineering, design, and project delivery.
• Proven leadership experience in large-scale hyperscale or colocation data centres.
• Strong expertise in electrical systems, HVAC, cooling, UPS, DG, BMS/DCIM, sustainability, and commercial solutioning.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design Leadership

• Lead end-to-end design and engineering of hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centres.
• Establish engineering standards, technology roadmaps, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute, TIA-942, BICSI, ASHRAE, and statutory regulations.
• Drive innovation in power systems, cooling technologies, automation, and AI-ready infrastructure.
• Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce PUE, and achieve ESG objectives.
• Evaluate renewable energy integration and sustainable infrastructure solutions.
• Manage CAPEX/OPEX optimization and technical due diligence.

Business Growth & Customer Solutioning

• Support business expansion through technical sales, customer engagement, and solution development.
• Managing both internal and External stakeholders
• Partner with sales teams for RFPs, bids, customer presentations, and contract negotiations.
• Build strategic relationships with hyperscalers, cloud providers, enterprises, and government clients.
• Identify market opportunities, emerging technologies, and growth strategies.
• Oversee engineering support from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Drive value engineering, risk management, and operational readiness.

Leadership & Governance

• Build and lead high-performing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Foster innovation, technical excellence, safety, and customer focus.
• Ensure compliance, quality assurance, business continuity, and risk mitigation practices.
