Job Description
We are seeking an
Embedded Test & Systems Software Engineer
to join our hardware-software integration team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between firmware development and system-level validation. You will build robust Python-based test automation frameworks, interface directly with hardware peripherals and communication protocols, and contribute directly to embedded C software development when required.
Core Responsibilities Test Automation & Frameworks:
Design, develop, and maintain automated regression test suites using
Python
(pytest or Robot Framework) integrated into CI/CD pipelines. Firmware & C Development:
Read, debug, and contribute to low-level embedded
C
code, drivers, and system services during feature development and hardware bring-up. Protocol & Hardware Validation:
Perform functional and system-level validation for protocols including
CAN/CAN-FD, $\text{I}^2\text{C}$, PMBus, SPI, and UART . System Management & Security:
Validate RESTful
Redfish APIs
via Postman/curl and execute validation suites for
Secure Boot
sequences. Linux System Debugging:
Configure embedded Linux environments ( Yocto Project ), manage Systemd services, and analyze journalctl logs to isolate hardware-software bugs.
Technical Requirements Mandatory Skills: 3–8 years
of experience in embedded software development, hardware bring-up, or system test engineering. Strong proficiency in
Python
for test framework development and scripting. Solid background in embedded
C
programming and firmware debugging. Hands-on experience with hardware peripherals ( EEPROM, eMMC, GPIO, Sensors ). Deep understanding of
embedded Linux , command-line diagnostics, Systemd, and log analysis tools. Experience validating server management APIs ( Redfish ).
Good to Have: Exposure to
OpenBMC
architecture, D-Bus IPC, and system inventory services. Experience with network protocols ( SNMP, HTTPS, SSH ). Familiarity with hardware-level debugging tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes). Performance, stress, and load testing experience on embedded systems.
