Environment Health Safety Lead

• Lead implementation of Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) programs across Transmission projects and O&M sites.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Drive incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Promote Zero Harm culture through proactive safety interventions and continuous improvement programs.
• Implement Behavioral Based Safety (BBS) initiatives and safety awareness campaigns.
• Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with contractual safety requirements.
• Oversee PPE compliance, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Coordinate with project teams, O&M functions, government authorities, and external stakeholders on safety matters.
• Deliver safety training, mentoring, and competency development programs for site personnel.
• Support safe execution of transmission line and substation projects across multiple locations.
• Drive safety governance, reporting, compliance monitoring, and risk mitigation strategies.

Work Experience (Range of years):

• 10-15 years’ experience of working in fire Safety functions in large size power plants including transmission in O&M and project.
• At least two years of experience in corporate office of transmission / power business.
• Conduct safety inspections and assessment in project & operational locations of transmission set up pan India.
• Monitor the implementation level, follow up and get execution at site with line function. Be a resource person / facilitate for safe project and O&M of transmission.
