Objective of the Role – Head Corporate Strategy
\nTo develop and drive the organization's long-term strategic vision, ensuring sustainable growth, enhanced shareholder value, and competitive advantage through strategic planning, business portfolio optimization, organic and inorganic growth initiatives, market expansion, and enterprise-wide transformation programs.
\nKey Roles & Responsibilities
\nCorporate Strategy & Long-Term Planning

- Develop and drive the company's 3–5 year and 10-year strategic roadmap. \n
- Identify growth opportunities across existing and new businesses. \n
- Define strategic priorities aligned with shareholder expectations and market trends. \n
- Lead annual strategic planning and business review processes. \n
- Establish strategic KPIs and monitor execution. \n
Organic Growth Strategy

- Identify new markets, customer segments, and product opportunities. \n
- Drive business expansion plans domestically and internationally. \n
- Evaluate diversification opportunities within existing capabilities. \n
- Support business units in developing growth strategies and profitability improvement initiatives. \n
Inorganic Growth (M&A, Joint Ventures & Partnerships)

- Identify acquisition targets and strategic investment opportunities. \n
- Lead merger, acquisition, divestiture, and JV evaluations. \n
- Conduct commercial due diligence and strategic assessments. \n
- Manage negotiations alongside finance, legal, and business leaders. \n
- Oversee post-merger integration and value realization. \n
Portfolio Management

- Evaluate performance of various business units and subsidiaries. \n
- Recommend investments, restructuring, spin-offs, or divestments. \n
- Optimize capital allocation across businesses. \n
- Assess strategic fit and long-term value creation of each business vertical. \n
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

- Monitor industry trends, disruptive technologies, regulations, and competitor activities. \n
- Develop strategic insights for executive leadership and the board. \n
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities impacting future growth. \n
Business Transformation & Special Projects

- Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. \n
- Drive operational excellence, digital transformation, and business model innovation. \n
- Sponsor high-impact cross-functional projects. \n
- Support turnaround strategies for underperforming businesses. \n
Board & Leadership Engagement

- Prepare strategic presentations for the Board and Executive Committee. \n
- Facilitate strategy workshops with senior leadership. \n
- Provide recommendations on key strategic decisions. \n
- Support MD & CEO on critical business initiatives. \n
Capital Allocation & Investment Planning

- Evaluate major capital expenditure proposals. \n
- Assess ROI, strategic fit, and risk of investments. \n
- Prioritize strategic investments across business units. \n
- Work closely with Finance and Investor Relations teams \n
International Expansion
\n- \n
- Assess global market entry opportunities. \n
- Develop market-entry strategies through greenfield, acquisitions, or partnerships. \n
- Evaluate geopolitical and regulatory risks. \n
- Build strategic alliances in international markets. \n
Sustainability & Future Readiness
\n- \n
- Integrate ESG and sustainability goals into corporate strategy. \n
- Assess future technologies and industry disruptions. \n
- Develop long-term resilience and risk mitigation strategies. \n
Preferred Candidate Requirements
\n- \n
- MBA from a premier institution preferred; Engineering background would be an advantage. \n
- 15–20 years of progressive experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Planning, Corporate Development, M&A, Transformation, or Business Leadership roles. \n
- Preferably from a multinational organization with an annual turnover of ₹7,000 Crores or more. \n
- Proven experience working within multi-business, multi-location, and multiple legal entity environments, managing strategic initiatives across diverse business units and subsidiaries. \n
- Strong track record of driving enterprise-wide strategic planning, growth initiatives, and business transformation programs. \n
- Hands-on experience in evaluating and executing organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives. \n
- Experience in portfolio management, capital allocation, investment evaluation, and value creation initiatives. \n
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with expertise in business case development, valuation, financial modeling, and strategic analysis. \n
- Experience and Ability to work closely with CEOs, Boards, Executive Committees, and global leadership teams. \n
- Exposure to international markets, cross-border operations, and global strategic projects would be highly desirable. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across multiple functions and business entities. \n
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation capabilities. \n
- Proven leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving complex strategic programs from concept through execution. \n
