ServiceNow CMDB Engineer - Job Description

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Engineer with expertise in CMDB, Discovery, Cloud Discovery, CMDB Health, Service Mapping, and IT infrastructure management. Responsible for ensuring CMDB accuracy, governance, compliance, and continuous improvement of configuration management processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow CMDB aligned with CSDM and best practices.
• Manage CMDB governance, integrity, reconciliation, and lifecycle processes.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery and MID Servers.
• Implement Service Mapping for business-critical services and applications.
• Manage Cloud Discovery across Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
• Monitor and improve CMDB Health metrics including Completeness, Correctness, and Compliance.
• Support onboarding of infrastructure assets including servers, databases, network devices, storage, virtualization, and cloud resources.

Required Skills

• ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB Health.
• Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
• CSDM and Service Graph Connectors.
• MID Server administration and troubleshooting.
• JavaScript, REST APIs, and ServiceNow scripting.
• ITIL process knowledge.

Infrastructure Domain Knowledge

• Windows and Linux Servers
• VMware and virtualization technologies
• Network technologies including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, and Load Balancers
• Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
• Storage and backup technologies

Cloud Expertise

• Microsoft Azure

• Hybrid and multi-cloud discovery and integrations
