Job Roles & Responsibilities:
\n1. Own and drive alumni engagement across GITAM's alumni geographies, building
\nand maintaining relationships with the alumni community.
\n2. Build and strengthen GITAM Alumni Association chapters across India and
\ninternational geographies, supporting chapter formation, leadership onboarding,
\nexecutive committee set-up, and governance compliance, and serving as the
\nsingle point of coordination for chapter activities.
\n3. Plan and deliver signature alumni events, including Homecoming, reunions, and
\nregional meets, confirming that internal plans are firm before alumni commitments
\nare made and coordinating stakeholders for smooth execution.
\n4. Oversee alumni communication across email, WhatsApp, and the alumni
\nnewsletter, ensuring that all alumni communication is routed and approved
\nthrough the Directorate.
\n5. Track alumni achievements across public and social channels to identify
\ncandidates for recognition, and run the Distinguished Alumni Awards cycle,
\nincluding award presentations at campus Homecomings.
\n6. Oversee the alumni merchandise program, including the design, sourcing, and
\navailability of GITAM alumni merchandise.
\n7. Develop dashboards and regular reports covering metrics such as active alumni
\nparticipation, chapter health, event participation, volunteerism, mentoring, student
\nopportunities generated, and other measurable outcomes.
\n8. Mentor the alumni engagement team and drive continuous improvement of
\nengagement processes and turnaround times.
\n9. Audit engagement and event outcomes, and collaborate with internal academic
\nand functional stakeholders to align priorities and ensure effective execution.
\nRequired Skills & Experience:
\n1. Bachelor's degree with 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in alumni relations,
\nprogram management, community engagement, or stakeholder engagement.
\n2. Strong written and spoken communication, with the ability to represent the
\nuniversity to senior alumni and external stakeholders.
\n3. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and convert them into measurable
\noutcomes over time.
\n4. Experience coordinating a team and managing multiple stakeholders and
\nworkstreams.
\n5. Comfort working with data, metrics, and reporting to track and demonstrate
\noutcomes.
\n6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to own outcomes independently.
\n7. Prior experience in higher education, alumni or corporate relations, or events is
\npreferred.
