Manager Network Design

Key Responsibilities

• Own dark-store network design across multiple cities / regions, including coverage, density and expansion planning.
• Plan optimal store locations based on demand, customer density, existing network coverage and operational constraints.
• Design and optimize serviceability areas / polygons for individual dark stores.
• Identify coverage gaps and quantify incremental OPD / demand potential from new stores or network changes.
• Develop city-level network plans and scenarios for new-city launches and existing-city optimization.
• Work closely with Real Estate, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to translate network plans into store launches.
• Build and maintain standardized network planning frameworks, tools and dashboards.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in q-commerce / food delivery / logistics network design.
• Strong hands-on experience in dark-store network planning, site coverage, serviceability and polygon design across multiple cities / regions.
• Experience working with large-scale network / demand datasets and translating data into actionable network decisions.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Big Query / SQL and Excel.
• Hands-on experience with network planning and geospatial tools, including: Google Maps / Google Maps layers for catchment, coverage and location analysis
• Big Query for analyzing demand, order and network data
• Other GIS / mapping / network-design tools
• New-generation AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. to accelerate network analysis, modelling, data processing and automation
• Comfortable working independently with data and tools to build network models, rather than relying solely on central analytics / data science teams.
• Ability to communicate network recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders and drive execution with cross-functional teams.
