Job Summary

Junior Oracle APEX Application Support Engineer to provide day-to-day support for Oracle APEX applications. The role involves monitoring application performance, resolving user issues, troubleshooting database-related problems, and supporting production environments. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle APEX. Typical APEX support roles emphasize incident resolution, SQL/PLSQL troubleshooting, documentation, and SLA-driven production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1/Level 2 support for Oracle APEX applications.
\n
• Monitor production applications and resolve incidents within SLA.
\n
• Troubleshoot application, database, and user access issues.
\n
• Analyze SQL and PL/SQL code to identify and fix issues.
\n
• Assist in application deployments and post-release validation.
\n
• Create and manage incident tickets using ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
\n
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
\n
• Monitor application logs and database performance.
\n
• Support data fixes and minor application enhancements.
\n
• Work with development teams to resolve defects.
\n
• Prepare user documentation and knowledge base articles.
\n
• Participate in application testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). These responsibilities are commonly expected in Oracle APEX support roles.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Oracle APEX.
\n
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL fundamentals.
\n
• Understanding of Oracle Database concepts.
\n
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic).
\n
• Familiarity with Oracle Forms/Reports is an advantage.
\n
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
\n
• Experience with Git or other version control tools is a plus.
\n
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands is desirable.
\n
• Understanding of production support and incident management.
\n
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
