Senior Full Stack Developer | React + Ruby on Rails

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Developer with 6+ years of experience, with a strong focus on frontend development. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience building scalable, responsive, and user-focused web applications using React and TypeScript. They should also have basic to moderate experience with Ruby on Rails and be comfortable contributing to backend development when required.

The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, write clean and maintainable code, and thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements through delivery
• Develop and maintain scalable, responsive, user-friendly web applications with a strong focus on frontend development using React and TypeScript
• Build reusable, well-tested UI components and help maintain frontend architecture
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and contribute to backend development in Ruby on Rails when required
• Identify and resolve UI issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks, and write unit, integration, and regression tests
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers through code review, pair programming, and architecture discussions
• Participate in sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies, communicating effectively with a distributed team using Slack, Zoom, and JIRA

Skills Required

• 6+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices , along with PostgresSQL, RSpec, Sidekiq, Git, Cloud experience (preferably AWS)
• Good experience with Ruby on Rails, idiomatic Ruby, and RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive, reusable component development
• Experience with frontend state management, API integration, and asynchronous programming
• Experience writing tests with Jest and React Testing Library
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and Docker
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, build tools (Yarn, Webpack), and scalable application design
• Experience in designing scalable front-end architecture, including component structure, state management, and application-level performance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, or other Rails backend tooling
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments
• Exposure to Python, Go, or other backend/scripting languages
• Familiarity with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code principles
• BSc/BE/BTech in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Familiarity with concepts of MVC, mocking, REST
