Role Description

The role holder will be responsible for providing L1 /L2 Database administration support.

Qualification & Experience

\n
• B. Tech / BE/MCA
\n
• 4-7 years of relevant experience
\n
• Proven ability to plan and execute workload in a pressurized & dynamic environment.
\n
• ITIL Certified or a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident, Problem and Change Management disciplines.
\n

Skills Required

Technical skills

\n
• Strong Knowledge in Database administration processes and concepts.
\n
• Knowledge of configuring and setting up maintenance activities for DB.
\n
• Ability to direct and guide team to resolve crisis situations within prescribed SLAs
\n

Analytical skills

\n
• Good analytical, trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification.
\n

Process skills

\n
• Ability to resolve service requests. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes.
\n

Other skills

\n
• Documentation and reporting skills. Should be a quick learner and have good communication and interpersonal skill. Should be willing to work in a 24*7 environment and a good team player.

• User management and maintenance of all database users like granting a subset of privileges as per client’s policy.
\n
• Resolving User related queries in Production and Test Databases.
\n
• As per client request creating new users and assigning profiles in production databases.
\n
• Monthly purging activity to gain database level space improvement
\n
• Archival activity for performance improvement.
\n
• Performance monitoring, Database installation, and configuration
\n
• Schedule RMAN backup and monitor RMAN status of all production databases.
\n
• Monitoring the uptime of all production & staging databases including sbi.co.in ,MAB and SMS databases
\n
• Monitoring Database and listener status for Production and DR side.
\n
• Monitoring of alert logs, identifying errors and Initiate approval for necessary action
\n
• Monitoring Disk utilization for Production and DR Database.
\n
• Monitoring Table space Size in database level.
\n
• Monitoring for DC and DR sync status and check status archival apply status
\n
• Monitoring number of active sessions in database.
\n
• Monitoring CPU utilization and I/O wait on Production database.
\n
• Providing out of hours cover as agreed with the Team Leader
\n
• Interface proactively with other Infrastructure support teams such as UNIX, Windows, Network, Storage, Monitoring etc
\n
• Document issues and associated resolutions to problems
