Social Media & Marketing Ops Consultant – Sony Marathi

Role Overview

Sony Marathi is hiring a Social Media & Marketing Ops Lead on contract to own the channel's social media presence and run the marketing operations that support it. This is a single-owner role spanning both strategy (content calendar, platform growth, community) and execution (campaign ops, budgets, vendor coordination, reporting).

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

• Own social media strategy across platforms (YouTube,) for Sony Marathi's shows and the channel brand
• Build and execute the content calendar aligned to show launches, promos, and key moments
• Drive audience growth, engagement, and community management
• Partner with creative and production teams to source and repurpose content
• Track platform trends and adapt strategy across formats, algorithms, and influencer collaborations

Marketing Operations

• Plan and execute marketing campaigns end-to-end: briefs, timelines, approvals
• Manage marketing budgets, vendor/agency coordination, and PO/invoicing
• Coordinate with media planning and buying teams on paid promotion
• Track campaign performance and prepare reporting/dashboards
• Ensure brand guidelines and compliance across all marketing materials

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience in social media management and/or marketing operations, ideally in media & entertainment or a regional-language content environment
• Fluency in Marathi (spoken and written) is mandatory; strong command of English
• Hands-on experience running social campaigns and managing budgets/vendors
• Familiarity with social analytics tools and content scheduling platforms
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or a related field (MBA preferred)
