We’re Hiring | Textile Designer & Developer

Loomlife | Noida | Full-time, on-site

Experience: 3–4 years | Qualification: Textile Design graduate from NID

Loomlife is building an Indian craft luxury house rooted in handloom, artisan expertise, and textile innovation. We are looking for a Textile Design graduate from the National Institute of Design (NID) with strong, hands-on experience in textile development and design to join our Noida office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop original textiles and collections, from research and concepts through sampling and production readiness.
\n
• Work extensively on yarn selection, fabric construction, weave structures, textures, colours, and finishes.
\n
• Develop motifs, prints, embroidery layouts, and coordinated colour palettes.
\n
• Collaborate directly with weavers, artisans, and craft clusters to translate designs into high-quality textiles.
\n
• Prepare clear technical briefs, review samples, resolve development issues, and maintain quality standards.
\n
• Coordinate development timelines and document specifications, samples, and approvals.
\n

What we’re looking for

• A degree in Textile Design from NID.
\n
• 3–4 years of substantial practical experience in textile design and development, with a portfolio demonstrating work from concept to finished fabric.
\n
• Strong understanding of handloom textiles, natural fibres, weaving, dyeing, printing, and surface techniques.
\n
• Experience working with artisan clusters and translating traditional techniques into contemporary products.
\n
• Attention to detail, ownership of execution, and willingness to travel to craft clusters.
\n
• Ability to work full-time from our Noida office.
\n
